Mexican Ground Beef

Equipment

  • 10″ Frying Pan

Ingredients

  • 1lb ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp chile powder
  • 1 tsp cuminĀ
  • 3/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp oregano

Prep

  1. Set the ground beef out about an hour before you want to begin cooking. This helps it cook and brown better. If you don’t have time, it’s not an issue, it just makes it even easier if you have the time.
  2. Measure out the 2 Tbsp chile powder, 1 tsp cuminĀ , 3/4 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp oregano into a small bowl or ramekin.

Instructions

  1. Add 1lb ground beef to a skillet, I usually use my larger skillet.
  2. Once mostly browned, add the spices.
  3. Add enough water to stir the seasonings and distribute them completely. This is usually 3 oz or so of water, depending on how much liquid was still in the skillet.
  4. Once the seasoning is evenly distributed and there’s no more liquid on the bottom, remove to a container you will refrigerate the extra in.
